An autonomous artery freight transport has been launched on the expressway in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, a major economic zone in north China, marking significant progress in cross-provincial autonomous logistics.
On Monday, a fully-loaded heavy-duty truck, which was equipped with self-driving capabilities and powered by hydrogen embarked on a journey along the Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu expressway from Majuqiao Logistics Park in Beijing, passing through Langfang in Hebei Province, and finally arriving at Tianjin Port in eastern Tianjin's Tanggu District.
Without any human intervention, the automatic vehicle successfully navigated through various traffic scenarios and successfully achieved autonomous driving on cross-provincial expressway.
