The First Minister of Scotland, Rt Hon Alex Salmond MSP held a press conference and banquet at the Westin Tianjin discussing cooperation with the city of Tianjin on 8 July from 15:20 to 20:00. The First Minister was accompanied by Ms. Lena C. Wilson, Chief Executive of company, Scottish Enterprise and several staffs.
The press conference began with a brief introduction of Scotland followed by a speech from the First Minister and Lady Wilson. Mr. Salmond has stated that he has been impressed from his tour of the Tianjin and looks forward to the future partnership between the two countries. Tianjin and Scotland have signed a memorandum of agreement on sister-city status.
