People in Kashi have been advised not to enter Tianjin in the near future unless necessary. Those who need to come to Tianjin must present a negative nucleic acid test certificate within seven days before arriving in Tianjin, local authorities said.
Those who are currently in Tianjin and have travelled to Kashi in the past 14 days should report their traveling information to residential communities, conduct nucleic acid tests, and monitor their health conditions. Kashi emerged as new cluster of local infections as it had reported 137 new cases on Sunday, all related to the case found a day earlier.
Four towns in the Kashgar region were identified as "high-risk" areas, according to a statement from the Kashgar city authority, and stringent controls such as travel restrictions are expected.
